Objective
To manage quality in academic and operational processes of the Institute.
This Unit will perform the following activities: -
(i) Advise on benchmarking performance standards;
(ii) Coordinate internal and external evaluation of programmes at LGTI to meet National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) standards;
(iii) Provide backup strategic initiatives aiming at achieving quality in academics and administrative functions;
(iv) Implement an acceptable and robust system of examinations;
(v) Coordinate and manage students’ evaluation on the staff and programmes;
(vi) Coordinate initiatives for situational analysis of Institute’s programmes and graduates and provision of feedback to responsible staff members after the survey;
(vii) Bridge with stakeholders to sustain the image of Institute in matters relating to quality assurance;
(viii) Review Institute Quality Assurance policy to meet demands; and
(ix) Prepare and analyse quality assurance reports and submit to respective authority.
