The Department of Community Development forms one of the four (4) departments charged under the directorate of Undergraduate studies. The department of community development started in 2011. It is among the four (4) academic departments at LGTI. It is charged with the following responsibilities;
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The aim of this training
programme is to supply the current and future labor market with
adequately trained semi-professional personnel in Community Development
who will work efficiently and effectively in both public and private
sectors.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The minimum entry qualification for Basic Technician Certificate (NTA
level 4) in Community Development shall be as follows:
(i) Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or
its equivalent with at least four passes of grade “D”.
(ii) National Vocational Award (NVA level 3) recognized by Vocational
Training Authorities with a Certificate of Secondary Education
Examination (CSEE) with at least four passes of grade “D”

The Higher Diploma programme in Community Development targets form six
leavers and holders of Ordinary Diploma in Community Development or
related
fields at NTA level 6 with second class pass.:
(i) Entry qualification for NTA Level 5 is strictly holders of Form VI
(ACSEE) with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass
(ii) NTA Level four pass performances in Community Development or other
related programmes
